Gallagher Funeral HomeEdward D. Coco of Old Greenwich, CT., the loving husband of the late Francine Gerosa Coco, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2016. Born in New York City on August 15, 1933 to the late Frank and Rose Coco, he was raised in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1955 and attended St. John's University School of Law. He began his career in commercial real estate with Kaufman Realty Corp. and later formed Coco Management, Inc. where he oversaw daily operations until his death. He was a longtime member of the New York Athletic Club and the Westchester Country Club, Rye, NY. A golfer and avid sports fan, his passion for travel was equally matched with his enjoyment of the arts. He delighted in season performances at the Metropolitan Opera House, frequent trips to his home in Tuscany, and daily visits to his beloved Tod's Point Beach with his dog, Sienna. His positive outlook and zest for life will forever remain an inspiration to his family. He is survived by his children: a son, Frank Coco and wife, Denise of New Canaan, CT., a daughter, Roseanne Ciancetta and husband, Victor of Monroe, CT. and son, Edward Jr. and wife, Jill of St. John's Creek, GA; 9 grandchildren who he adored, and a twin brother and sidekick, Robert Coco of Monroe, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 16 at St. Mary's Church, 178 Greenwich Ave, Greenwich. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich.
